It's not even ok for a quick necessity anymore... this isn't the Yukon or even Northern Ontario. But 17$ for a rotisserie chicken is highway robbery... hard to shop local when 1 bag of normal groceries 100 bucks..
Prices are higher than slightly bigger villages. 10am Sundays do not compete with local grocery stores in area. Parking lot in need of major restructuring and new lines. Biggest issue overall...the carts are old a falling apart and need replaced or heavily repaired. No cart area outside so more time wasted to return the cart
Great friendly staff, good produce, good selection. Has a full lcbo, the hours are handy. But I will say the coolers need upgrading and theres always a bad smell comimg from them.
Repackaging meat doesn't magically make it fresh again. Bought steaks on 3 seperate occasions and they were always expired even though the tag they said they were packaged only a day ago. Produce is also usually bad and have had to dig around to find something that wasn't bad.
Of crouse grateful to have a grocery store in Drayton, but the store has a dirty run down feel/look and the entrance/exit set up is wierd. Also they take advantage of being the only grocery store and prices are quite high.
Bought chicken Caesar wraps that were marked that they were wrapped today, found mold in the chicken after it had been bitten out of. Called the store to let them know and the lady asked me how there could be mold? Told me they used fresh product and asked me to bring the wraps in to prove it? Terrible response and I don’t believe they are going to try to fix the issue.
Mushrooms purchased today had mould on them... romaine lettuce..all brown... Meat selection...not good. Everything i purchase there is about to expire. Simple solution..reduce your prices so people shop there and your food will have faster turnover... It's a no brainer... otherwise everyone will continue to go to Fergus or Waterloo to bulk up on groceries.
